Central Pennsylvania families are reeling from years of inflation. From a gallon of gas to a gallon of milk, our dollars aren’t going as far as they once did. Blake will work to lower everyday costs for hardworking families including prescription drugs, childcare and housing. He will fight to reduce income inequality, and eliminate barriers for entry to start small businesses to advance our economy. He will also advocate for policies that support workforce development and reskilling, investments in infrastructure, technology and empowering workers with the skills needed for innovative and next generation industries.

Pennsylvania's schools are woefully underfunded. The funding our schools do receive is incredibly inequitable because it is reliant on local school property taxes. Blake believes that every Pennsylvania student deserves access to a high-quality public education, regardless of zip code. Blake will advocate for expanded access to high-quality early childhood education, including pre-kindergarten programs and for increased federal funding and policies that empower our students, families and teachers to take more control over their educational destinies.

As the first ever Director of Community Relations for the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, Blake personally knows the importance of public safety in our communities. That’s why he fought and continues to fight for more police officers, more training, and more resources to make sure our local police are set up for success. He’ll work to find common ground to enact evidence-based policies to protect communities and collaborate with law enforcement to enact comprehensive solutions to gun violence. In Congress, he’ll continue this fight to direct additional resources to local police departments.
