Lynch touts himself as the guy whose lived experience most closely resembles that of the average 10th District resident.
HIs and his wife, he noted, are carrying a cumulative student loan debt that at one point exceeded $100,000. They pay $1,300 - a virtual second mortgage, Lynch said - for child care.
That coupled with his native son status means that, even as the youngest candidate in the field, Lynch argues that he knows the most about working, living and paying taxes in the 10th Congressional District.
Subtly jabbing at most of his opponents, he also argued it’s time to try something new: “We tried a military veteran (George Scott) before... We have tried someone before that had statewide name ID - an amazing friend in Eugene Depasquale - who did not win (in 2020).
“And we have tried this before with those who are already politicians who have run before and were not successful.”
Lynch argued he represents the right blend of youth, knowledge of the community and experience - between his stints with Harrisburg city government, at WITF and with the Boys and Girls Club - in getting things done to build a winning coalition.
